This, another project from SNL alumni, falls between "Mean Girls" (very good) and "Tommy Boy" (quite horrid), possibly saving Wiig's film-career post-"MacGruber". This film is co-written by her, and is at its best a collection of sketches and at its worse just that, ending up with a fractured feel. It's not as splintered as one might imagine though, an indie film which at its best is ferociously funny, especially where women do feminism justice. Entertaining, yes. Recommendable? So-so.
